Pakistan Ministry

Dear Friends,

In September I sent out a FB message to you asking you take part in a survey to gauge the concern that you may have to help underprivileged Christians in Pakistan. The survey zeroed in on the following aspect of ministry:

  • School supplies for children (paper, pencils, notebooks)
  • School supplies for older children (uniforms, back packs)
  • Bibles for distribution to Christians and seekers
  • Relief efforts, example, to help Christians whose homes were burned by mobs.
  • Christian literature distribution
  • Food for crusades
  • About 10% of you responded to the survey and most indicated that you would be very likely to support these efforts. With that encouragement I sought ways to help Saul Masih, a young pastor in Afiwala, Pakistan. His ministry focuses on the top four points above. My efforts were getting nowhere when Cindy Sansburn introduced me to Isaac Heckman, the founder of Serving Others Worldwide. Cindy has been working with Isaac to help orphans in Russia. Isaac is a dedicated Christian and very eager to not only help the underprivileged but to share the Gospel with them as well.
  • I am now a volunteer with Serving Others Worldwide which is a non-profit organization of individual volunteers (doctors, builders, teachers, students etc.) who donate time, talents and resources to providing aid to the poor, the distressed, or the underprivileged, and assist underdeveloped communities around the world to improve their quality of life physically, mentally, and spiritually. Saul is now the Pakistan Program director.

I’m really excited about this ministry. I feel that God has been leading me in this direction for some time and this is the only the beginning. However, it will depend entirely on you and whether or not you are willing to help as God directs you.

The immediate needs for this ministry are listed on http://www.servingothers.org/Pakistan.html. Please take a few minutes and view this page. If you are willing to help you can make donations online or sending your donation to:

    Serving Others Worldwide

    3702 So Fife St. #255

    Tacoma, WA 98409

All donations are tax deductable and are eligible for matching fund from most employers.

If you are willing to help in any way (prayer too) and would like to receive a newsletter please click on the Subscribe button on the left or click here.

Saul will be meeting with the police on Monday the 30th to try to secure permission for his annual Christmas program with events throughout December. Because of tense religious pressures in Pakistan, there is the possibility that he will not be able do all that he plans. Please pray that he would be able to have favor and protection for this great outreach to his community.
