Saul Masih is the real worker in this ministry. My name is Ray Ruppert.
I am attempting to help Saul in his ministry. I do this as a volunteer with Serving Others Worldwide which is a non-profit organization of individual volunteers (doctors, builders, teachers, students etc.) who donate time, talents and resources to providing aid to the poor, the distressed, or the underprivileged, and assist underdeveloped communities around the world to improve their quality of life physically, mentally, and spiritually. If you want to find out more about me, you can go to my primary web site and find out more about me than you would really like to know. Click Here.
About Saul
Saul Masih is a young pastor in Pakistan, whom I have know for several years. He is the Pakistan Program director for Serving Others Worldwide and is also a volunteer.
At 17, Saul was ready to go to college. Instead, God led him to start teaching the children in his Christian colony of about 100 families. The Christians in this colony are poor, so instead of going to school, the children work alongside their parents. The Lord led Saul to start a school for these kids so they could get a secular and Christian education. He started with only one New Testament that belonged to his father. Saul is now 24 and has become the primary Christian leader in his colony as well as the teacher for the children of the colony.
Saul depends entirely on gifts to provide pencils, notebooks and other school items for the children. When the children get older and are able to enter the public schools system, they are required to have uniforms. This also is a hardship and many who would otherwise be able to attend do not unless someone provides uniforms. Last year I was able to help Saul with school supplies and uniforms.
Since 2003, Saul has had his schoolchildren put on public Christmas and Easter programs. He fortunately has a good relationship with the local police so that they provide protection for the programs. The programs include marches through the city that are a testimony to the Muslims who watch.
Saul has several helpers in his ministry. These are young men who he is training. They visit rural and slave villages sharing the Gospel and distributing Bibles when we provide them. I started helping with Bibles when I found that he had given his own Bible to a family so that they would not succumb to Muslim bribery to abandon their faith.
He has also established Bible classes for children in the slave village; however, since the burnings in Gojra, the slave children are very fearful and have not been attending classes. Saul and his team have also visited nearby Gojra to help the 50-80 families in that city’s Christian colony who lost their homes as a result of the Muslim mobs.
